it's been brought
Guests tomorrow! I'm very excited. I'm still hemming and hawing about the whirlwind New Joy Sea trip (Ron, I would arrive Friday night and depart early Sunday morning, all for a party on Saturday afternoon - no time to get up your way), but I'm thinking that it's probably smarter for me to cancel it. A week of guests, then three days away, then two weeks of guests. Those of you who know my demeanor clearly see the folly in the "three days away" part.
We'll all be having breakfast Sunday morning on another friend's yacht. How cool is that?
I suppose it's time now to gas up the riding vacuum and start sandblasting the bathroom and kitchen. Inti will have to be evicted from her perch on the bed in the guest room. I'd better get busy.

ah, the mystery
Visitors, badly in need of some R&R, here soon?
A 2-day trip to New Joy Sea for a beloved aunt's 80th birthday party? (Negotiable.)
Then two weeks of my sister and her loquacious spouse?
Bring it! I can't wait.

for his birthday
For his birthday my beloved decided to do yard work.
Okay, it needs doing but hell.
We're approaching the hottest part of the day. It's only in the low 70's here with 47% humidity, but that still makes it uncomfortable for me to spend too much time out there. Last time I did that I experienced an hour or so of pretty unsettling mental confusion afterwards.
Not that sandblasting the kitchen has been any easier. The stainless appliances shine, though, and the stove top no longer looks like monkeys have been flinging rice and sauce at it.
Don't dare call me a monkey. Shut up.
Anyway, happy birthday my dear hobbitt. You are more beautiful to me every year. When I hear your voice I melt just a little bit, and I still can't believe my luck that you picked me.

switcheroo
hobbitt and I just switched servers for druid labs.
We'd been missing a lot of mail, and unable to send a lot of mail. The provider wasn't very helpful.
So I had to republish my blog. If your comment is missing, please don't think I deleted it. It just got lost in the switch. Oops.
On another note, I finished my internship hours for the Jefferson County Master Gardeners! Woo hoo! I'm a veteran now. I probably know less than I did a year ago, but that's okay. I'm creating my own little niche of desktop publishing for the cause, which should effectively keep me out of anybody's garden.
